An estimated 3 million people have been affected by Cyclone Idai which made landfall on Thursday 14th March 2019 and swept through Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
More than 750 people are confirmed dead and 400,000 have lost their homes. Hundreds are missing or injured. Flooding remains severe and the full scale of the disaster is still unfolding. Houses, roads and bridges have been ripped apart and agricultural land is completely submerged. Essential relief is being distributed but funds are needed for this to continue.

Future Funding
Having supported a broad range of inspiring and transformational projects over the Foundation’s 30 year history, the Trustees decided to embark upon a strategic review to ensure our grants were having the greatest impact. In 2020 we completed an intensive eight month programme led by Ten Years’ Time and we’re thrilled to be focussing all our efforts now on building Youth Power and Leadership with some fantastic partners.
